Will Latisse lighten brown eyes? (Photo)

Question

I've been using Latisse on my eyelashes and eyebrows for almost 5 months and have gotten tremendous results. I use one drop each for the right and left sides that covers both the eyelashes and eyebrow. I don't get it in my eyes or on my lower lashes. I have very dark brown eyes. After one month, the outer portion of my irises started turning gray, so it looks like I've got a gray ring around my brown eyes. The gray ring is getting wider and the brown keeps getting lighter. Is this harmful?

question.What you are describing is called arcus senilis and is unrelated to Latisse treatment.

It is unlikely that your brown eye became lighter as a result of using Latisse.  In fact, studies have shown that Latisse causes a darkening of the iris.  What you are describing sounds like arcus senilus, a benign condition.  Just to make sure, however, you should visit your eye doctor and discuss your concerns.
