Hello and thank you for your question! I would recommend a consultation with a board certified provider. Based on this consultation, the provider will best be able to give you a plan of care you both agree on and most importantly understanding the ending results. We typically see patients who will do well from a variety of treatments. There are occasions that the patient is a candidate for both lasers and threads or possibly even fillers. At the consultation once your skin laxity, skin type and desired outcome is discussed in detail with a hands on assessment, your provider will know exactly what would best work for you. I hope this information helps you and best of luck!
Hello and thank you for posting.Lasers, especially fractional CO2 ablative lasers represent a valuable means to resurface the skin and produce skin tightening as well. Deep lasers for skin tightening come with significant risks and social downtime. These lasers are especially useful for people with significant sun damage, pigmentary changes, and tissue laxity. They work best for people with lower Fitzpatrick skin scores who have lighter skin types. Barbed PDO threads are inserted through the skin, the barbs attach to the deep dermis, and they produce skin tightening and tissue elevation. These type of threads usually have minimal downtime and are quite effective. In some cases the outline of the thread may be visible under the skin, particularly in the first week or two. These threads slowly are reabsorbed over time and a collagen band is produced so that the skin tightening and tissue elevation has some persistency. Please see the video below for a demonstration. I hope this information helps and good luck to you!
Your case could be easily managed with a threadlift. We use a very heavy suture technique to accomplish this and we have seen patients with great lifts even after 4 or 5 years follow up. This is a modified technique that can accomplish lifting of the butt and outer thighs. Recovery requires a...
Dear frauleinm, Thank you for your question. Threadlift is a minimally invasive treatment, and it appeals to people because of this fact. In Korea, absorbable thread lift is the most popular treatment. PDO threads are completely absorbable, on average it takes 3 months...
Thank you for your question. I would recommend waiting a minimum of two weeks and preferably 4 weeks before resuming face yoga. Too much facial movement in the early going will potentially release the threads and you have spent a fair bit of money to achieve the improvement you are seeking. Hope...
