Hair follicles present immediately after Laser Hair Removal normal?

Question

Just finished my 4th laser hair removal treatment with a diode laser. I can't remember if it happened previously (I'm thinking no), but this time I noticed black specks in the areas I had treated (underarms, bikini)--what seems to me to be hairs/hair follicles right at the top of the skin. Is this normal right after the treatment? Just wondering if this is normal/why it happened so fast. I have dark/course hair. Does this mean the treatment worked really well?

Thank you for your question about laser hair removal, laser hair reduction.I think that this is normal.  It represents extrusion of the singed hair follicle.To be sure, see two or more licensed and board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have these treatments.I hope this helps.

This often occurs after laser hair removal is done. It's actually a singeing of the follicle right at the tip where it comes out of the skin. It's what makes hair removal treatments smell because that piece is actually burned a bit.
