Implant failure options?

Hi. I have an implant in my second lower right molar. It is moving all over and is very painful to chew back there. It is about 10 years old. My dentist has advised me to have the crown removed, the implant cleaned up with new bone/tissue, and then eventually a new crown put on. Sadly, this procedure is estimate to cost me over $6000 and I simply cannot afford that (disabled and low income). Do I have any other options? Two teeth on either side are good.

Hello. If you feel movement on your implant, it means the implant has to be removed. This scenario results with bone loss at that area and mostly bone grafting is necessary if a new implant is going to be placed. This causes additional costs. So, a bridge which is being carried by neighboring teeth can be a more reasonable alternative
