Hello,Your implants (well, at least one of them) are at your clavicle. Changing to round or saline will have little effect in changing your appearance in the beginning, but over time oversized round/saline implants have a big impact on tissue stretch and dropout. The problem with your breasts are not that they are low, but that your nipple-areolar complex is low on the mound, with little lower pole skin visible. You will need to heal prior to any revision. If your doctor isn't an ABPS certified/ASAPS member surgeon who specializes in revision breast surgery, you should visit a few who are. Best of luck!
Dear iris pogue,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a breast augmentation and lift surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process at 2 months post op.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues around the implants are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides and the implants drop to their final position, you will be able to see the final result of your surgery.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
It is still early in your recovery and without an in-person consultation, it is impossible to determine the best treatment options for you. It is important that you are following your surgeon’s post-operative care instructions to ensure the best results. We recommend consulting with your surgeon to further discuss your concerns.
There really are anatomic limits on how "high" you can make them. It all starts with the natural location of your inframammary fold. If they are "low on the chest" it limits how high you can move the nipple. For an early result, this looks good so far.
There are several types of dissolvable sutures. Some are soft and some are very stiff like a nylon fishing line. These stiff ones can be very good superficially since they are less reactive with tissue and therefore better scars. Discuss your situation with your surgeon since they know exactly...
Worries about anesthesia complications are legitimate. While rare, the consequences can be tragic. In many ways, local/sedation can be riskier than general since you don't have as effective control of the airway, especially in the event of an emergency. The meds used are typically all very...
You are going to get somewhat of a lift with the implant. Depending on the implant size and shape and whether it's placed above or below the muscle will determine what kind of lift you will need. I usually place the implants first, close the incision and set the patient up on the operating room...
