What is the difference between SculpSure and Vanquish? Is one just newer technology?

SculpSure is an amazing and revolutionary Diode technology, which is very customizable, predictable, comfortable an only takes 25 minutes per treatment.  It takes 1-3 treatments on average to deliver results.  Vanquish is a different laser, which uses radio frequency technology, which means that each time the energy used is different, so that is why it takes 4-6 treatments to see a result.  I have treated many patients who have had Vanquish and saw no results and after one treatment with sculpture, they saw a nice improvement. It all depends on the body type , the amount of fat present and the area treated.  It is always best to have in person expert consultation to determine if either treatment is right for you. It is non-invasive and non-surgical and provides little to no downtime. I suggest that you move forward and consult with a board certified facial plastic surgeon.

Sculpsure is a noninvasive 1060nm diode laser treatment that removes up to 25% of stubborn fat in the treated area in 25 minutes.It is FDA approved for the abdomen and flanks. It is safe if you get pregnant in the future.The body contouring effects are seen in as quick as six weeks with final results at 12 weeks. The results are permanent as long as you maintain your weight and health.The laser targets and destroys the fat cells only which are then naturally removed from the body. Since the laser does not affect the skin or muscle it can be used on all skin colors and there has been no reported incidents of burns when treated by a properly trained physician. It is protective since it alternates heating and cooling. It has four applicators that can be customized to treat the areas of stubborn fat. If a second treatment is needed we wait at least six weeks and usually closer to 12. There is no downtime and you can resume your normal activities right after the treatment. There may be some soreness in the area for a few days for which you can take ibuprofen or tylenol. A cold compress can also be used.Sculpsure is not used for skin tightening however some of her patients have seen this. If more skin tightening is needed we have combined this with thermi or Ulthera for a complete treatment. We have both technologies in our office as well as Coolsculpting.  I feel Vanquish ME is a great procedure for patients with larger BMI's who want more circumferential fat reduction around their midsection, back fat or around the thighs.  It is a painless 45 minute procedure which should be done weekly for 4-6 weeks and we have seen some very nice results with it.  Sculpsure is a 1060 nm laser that takes 25 minutes to administer.  Each treatment gives about 24% fat reduction.  We recommend 2-3 sessions for best results.  We will sometimes even combine them Sculpsure and Vanquish.  Sculpsure is a newer technology but Vanquish still has a valid position in the noninvasive body sculpting arena.  It's best to see a doctor who has experience with multiple technologies to get the best advice for you.
