I have a colored tattoo on my bicep I decided to remove. The doctor I went to decided on using both PicoWay and Fractional CO2 lasers. The doctor suggested that the CO2 laser will allow ink particles to come out and at the same time prevent scarring. Is this combination really helpful? I did the first treatment this week. The CO2 laser was painful and caused bleeding. I am not seeing any lightening of the pigment yet. Should I assume this session was unsuccessful if I see no change soon?

Answer: Combining fractional laser with tattoo removal laser
Thank you for providing photos with your question. Blisters may happen after laser tattoo treatments. I would advise not to pick on the blister and apply antibiotic ointment. You should also call your provider for further instructions and so that they may drain the blister for you...
Thank you for your question! The fact that this is an older tattoo, may actually help with faster removal with tattoo removal lasers with the Picoway. It may actually be easier to get rid of, than a younger, fresher tattoo. It usually takes multiple months for the tattoo to go away.
Thank you for your question! Hang in there a little longer. Picoway really does great with PIH, but I use the Zoom 1064 handpiece over the Resolve handpiece for PIH. Do check with your doctor about that. Best of luck!
