Is this level of blistering okay one day after the first treatment of PicoWay laser tattoo removal? (Photo)

Question

I got an ankle tattoo treated yesterday with PicoWay laser treatment. This is the current state of the blister. It doesn’t hurt, just very puffed out blister. Is this normal and OK? Any tips?

Hi,Blisters are possible after tattoo removal, but such a large one has a possibility of scarring. We usually prefer to drain this (in a sterile way, without disturbing the blister roof), to prevent any scarring. Do get in touch with your clinic. Avoid deroofing the blister by all means.

THis is a dramatic blister but can happen.  I would keep it moist and covered with vaseline or triple antibiotic ointment.  If it looks infected see the physician who treated you.  Best of luck Susan
