Picosure Laser vs. Cosmelan Peel?

Hi, I have some melasma around my mouth and lower half of my face/cheeks as well as some sagging/wrinkling from aging - basically skin just looks dull as it does when we age. I also hyperpigment so am looking at 2 options that seem safe to use right now: Cosmelan Peel and Picosure Laser. Does anyone have a recommendation on which to do? I don't care about the downtime, just want results and no adverse events. Thank you.

Hi Teresa. Thank you for your picture. I offer PicoSure treatment with custom protocols and can only say that Most if not all my patients see some results after 2 treatments with PicoSure. It is advised to have at least 4, but it varies depending on the severity of the problem...

Your extreme itching may be preventable, if you get pre-treated (several hours before) with either an anti-histamine or take a single dose of prednisone. i would recommend that you suggest this to your doctor. no guarantee that this will prevent your reaction but worth trying- in my opinion...
