If the healing cap that was in place to form a wider pocket above the implant (emergence profile) is smaller than the abutment and/or crown diameter then there can be some temporary discomfort. The other concern is if the sore tissue continues more than a few days that there may be cement that was not removed. If discomfort continues more than a few days return to the restoring dentist for evaluation.
This is a challenging situation. Your crown will be weaker, if it can be saved at all. Removing the post is also going to be difficult. You may find A better long term solution is to extract the tooth and place an implant.
