For rolling atrophic acne does Genius Microneedling tend to help make the scars less deep with every treatment?

When treating these atrophic scars, I will usually combine with subcision to remove the tethering. Also I theorize that this prevents the energy from traveling too deeply along the scar collagen fibers. Often filler is required for atrophic scarring as well. I use HA or Bellafill for the filler. I always recommend 3 treatments but more might be needed. Each time the scars will become more shallow.

Genius is certainly one of the better RF microneedling devices, and leaps ahead of Infini. In the context of your scars, the answer is 'it depends'. RF microneedling can improve rolling scars, and is certainly a sensible addition to subcision. A real time consultation is advised. Atrophic scars (depressions) can be treated with either fat grafts, or dermal fillers. Tethered and anchored scars are best treated with surgical techniques such as subcision. Other surgical techniques that we use include punch elevation, surgical elevation, punch excision and traditional excision of focal scars.
