Can I use Derma Roller and Latisse (bimatoprost) to induce pigmentation of depigmented scar? (Photo)

I have a white scar on the areola which is much darker of course. I heard that dermarolling alone can help regain pigmentation. And Latisse can also pigment the skin. Can I use dermaroller (bought online) then apply Latisse to get some color back? And will dermarolling cause more injury to the scar or a bigger scar?

Hello, Thanks for sharing your pics. Though Dermaroller helps in collagen induction its not the best option as it causes more dermal damage. Derma pen or microneedling is a better option. It is usually done once in 3 wks for 6-8 sessions. Consult a dermatologist.

Thanks for your question and posting pictures.  We never recommend dermarollers because it causes unnecessary dermal trauma.  Microneedling is better because the needles travel perpendicularly to the skin surface.  If you think about the rollers, they go in at an angle, straighten up and come ou...

Hello, Thanks for sharing your pics. Dermaroller is used for collagen induction and dermal repair. Undereye hollowness is due to volume loss and only fillers or fat will benefit. Dermaroller will not help you. Consult a board certified plastic surgeon
