Day 4 after peeling and minimal peeling.

Question

I did got a vi peel on Friday, it is now Monday, I have a minimal amount of peeling mainly near my mouth and a little on my forehead (not readily noticeable) . I was expecting more. I used the towelettes at home for the first two days as instructed. Could the peel be less effective because I got 30% glycolic peels before (the last being 2.5 weeks before the vi peel)? will i still see results?

Thank you for your question! Some people experience extreme peeling while other people experience flaking. This should not effect on your results. I have seen people who were flaking obtain better results in few instances. It is important that you use your kit according to the instructions. Sometimes people who has other peels such as glycolic peel experience less peeling and their skin peels and flakes less but this is not the reoccurring case. Wait for one week and if you are not satisfied with your results contact your provider for follow up. Some people require more than one treatment to obtain desired results. Best of luck!

I use the Vi peel frequently and on occasion have a patient as yourself the seems to flake instead of peeling like a sheet which I believe gives a better product. I doubt having the glycol 2.5 weeks before did any harm. there are a few things you can try next time.

Make sure all oils are off the skin using the acetone wipes and as I apply increase the pressure in the gauze pad with each swipe onto the skin.

Use the 1st post peel pad about 2 hours after I finish.

I have patients wear the peel for 4-6 hours then wash it off

I don't see a follow up , you may have been a late peeler and peeled on day 5. However don't give up , I like these Vi peels and I think yo will to.
