Thanks for the question. Yes, for sure. You can have consultation at age 17. Then after at age 18 you can have surgery.

An under age patient should have a parent or guardian at consult, if only to sign all of the practice intake documents.  After 18, a patient is an adult and need no one to accompany her.  A young patient, however, will do better with the counseling and support of a parent.

Any patient under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.  At age 18, you may seek the consultation and procedure yourself.  I would suggest, however, before you have the implant surgery for you jaw, look at the link below.  I use Radiesse to provide angularity to the jaw.  This is a quick, office procedure.  It is done with an injection, the recovery is a day or so and the Radiesse lasts approximately 1 year!  

Yes that is possible. But my personal policy is that at either age I would require parental support shown by a parent accompanying you and agreeing you are capable of making such a major health decision. I'm sure other offices may differ.
