I had a a bottom left tooth extracted #18 I believe. I had it done about 3 weeks ago and I'm in no pain without any swelling. The last couple of days I noticed what appeared to be some of the graft visible. After some research I've seen that having some of it visible is normal but a lot is not. I would just like to know if I have to much poking through my gum or if it is healing correctly I'm paranoid. Once again I have no pain whatsoever just the visible graft. Thank you to all in Advance.

If you are concerned I would not wait. Call your surgeon and schedule an appointment for a follow up appointment to be sure you do not have an infection. Good luck.
Hello,
Not, you cannot get an infection behind your ear, maybe is into your mouth and you feel the pain behind your ear. I suggest you go to your doctor to value it before you get worst.
Good luck!
It is good that you tell your dentist that did the bone regeneration on the discomfort that you are feeling in the area where the implant was removed. I think that by taking a periapical radiograph the doctor could rule out a possibility of infection.
