Will laser liposuction be enough to address my stomach area and pubic fat pad? (photo)

You can get a good to excellent result with liposuction on your abdomen. However, there is a chance you will still have a small roll of skin after the recovery from the surgery. Adding a skin tightening technology like Renuvion can further lessen the chance that you will have a small roll. Tummy Tuck or Abdominoplasty surgery will likely completely remove the roll, however, it will require a large surgical incision that will leave a scar in the same area. A significant drawback of the Tummy Tuck is that is will not address the pubic fat pad. Liposuction can address and correct the pubic fat pad. In summary, Liposuction is probably your best option. it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. You might benefit from liposuction but there might be some loose skin. I perform laser liposuction on a very regular basis. Therefore, I have seen lots of patients facing similar issues to you. Although I can not accurately assess or give an opinion without physically examining you, based on my experience, you can get rid of belly pouch, and pubic fat with laser liposuction, also called smartlipo.
The skin itself is an elastic organ, so it usually shrinks well after the liposuction, but it adds more benefits when you add laser energy alongside liposuction. Laser energy will stimulate collagen production and increase the skin's elasticity.
You can never guarantee how everyone's skin will shrink and can be fixed later on with skin correction. In my clinical experience, 70% of the patients who have poor skin elasticity do not go for skin correction because they are pleased with the results. You should try laser liposuction first, which is way less invasive with less downtime. Good luck.

Men typically do not have much subcutaneous fat in the pubic region.

If these are the only areas that bother you and they most likely represent skin laxity not subcutaneous fat.

The easiest way to differentiate is to pull up on the skin to make it tight.

With your skin tight does the area bulge?

If not then you have a skin problem.

I suggest getting a few in person consultations to get a good assessment of what the primary underlying problem is.

Simply based on what you describe I think you have skin laxity most likely from weight fluctuations in the past.

It’s possible you have enough fat for Liposuction to make a difference. It’s important to differentiate between skin laxity and liposuction.

Treating the primary problem tends to give the best results.

Dear NY,
Liposuction with either laser or ultrasound will give some skin tightening. Loose Pubic skin can be pretty heavy, and usually additional skin tightening needs to be done at the same time. Renuvion with Vaser is the best if you don’t want a tummy tuck, 2 day down time. Pubic lift with be like a mini tummy tuck, and the incision would need 6 wks of healing, not lifting more than 5 lbs, but able to resume work in a week.

These entities should respond favorably to laser liposuction.
In general, the experience of the surgeon is more important than the type of instrument utilized.
I recommend you visit a plastic surgeon with considerable liposuction experience and allow him / her to use the instrument with which he / she feels most comfortable.
