Lap band placed in 2006. NEVER filled. ALWAYS been UNFILLED. Considering removal b/c I don’t think I should keep a foreign object in my body, which I am not using. My fear is weight gain. 2 bariatric surgeons said ppl gain after band removal. Does this ALSO apply to ppl whose band has never been filled? Is the band, by simply sitting around my stomach, causing some restriction, even unfilled?
