What can I do to protect my eyes during at home ipl?

Hello, I got an at home ipl machine for hair removal but it did not come with glasses. The manufacturer just says to look away and close your eyes. I found some glasses online but they are very expensive. How else can I protect my eyes? I want to use it on my legs and belly so nowhere near my face. If I have my legs under a desk but my face over it as I am sitting in the chair will that provide protection? Thank you

Hello! It is certainly important to protect your eyes during at home IPL. If the IPL safety glasses online are expensive, there are disposable eye shields that you could use to protect your eyes. Do your best to close your eyes during the procedure and use the device at the correct angle and distance as specified in the user manual to avoid accidental exposure.
