Under eyes, dark circles solution? (Photo)

hello! What can i do about my under eyes? I am very bothered about the dark circles. The oftalmo i have seen has told me that they are because of poor bone support and that there is nothing i can do. Is it true? These dark circles combined with the scleral show give me a sick man look.

Hi @Tough1674. The upper cheek is a major support for the under eyes. So when there is volume loss there, not only do the cheeks reflect this, but the under eye can as well with the development of tear trough and under eye hollows. Addressing the volume deficit in the cheeks with the use of a  volumizing hyaluronic acid filler would be a reasonable place to begin.  Best of luck, Dr. NIma!

At home peels like cosmelan, enlighten and aerify along with dermarolling (MTS roller with anteage MD ampules) should be started now. There are many things you can do to treat under eye hollows and dark circles. A surgical option to remove skin and/or fat will such as lower eyelid blepharoplasty with or without fat pad repositioning will be the best long term. There are many things you can do to treat under eye hollows and dark circles without surgery. Non invasive less downtime options such as fillers (Belotero, Juvederm Volbella​), lasers (Moxi/Halo/Fraxel/CO2​), Renuvion (J-Plasma), microneedling/PRP, stem cells and microneedling RF like Fractora PiXel8 or Morpheus can all help give some improvement. Accutite can often be used or stronger lasers like erbium or co2 spot treatment can tighten the skin and give very quick improvement in wrinkles and texture. Dermal filler injected into the tear trough, usually via a microcannula, adds subtle volume to reduce discoloration and refresh the eyes overall. If you prefer a more permanent solution, facial fat transfer uses fat from other areas of your body to treat the sunken area under the eye in a similar fashion with long-lasting results.

Lasers, Profound RF (microneedling combined with RF energy), and other procedures that help collagen production can be very effective in tightening and refreshing the skin around the eyes too. Your problem is quire common in my experience. It is important to note that proper support by the upper cheek region is very important for the aesthetics of the infraorbital region. An appropriate robust HA filler placed in the proper region of the upper cheek can help, not only to improve under eye hollows and tear troughs, but to some extent dark circles. The under eye area should not be left to the hands of inexperienced, novice injectors. You would be wise to consult with a board certified cosmetic dermatologist, and best of luck.

Hello, and thank you for your inquiry! Adding a little cheek filler will help make you look less drawn down under the eyes. In addition to the cheek filler, I would also recommend PRP treatments. PRP stands for platelet rich plasma. This procedure entails having your blood drawn and it being spun down in a centrifuge. The platelet rich plasma (the golden rich fluid) at the top of the tube is extracted and injected under the eyes. This procedure will help generate collagen production under the eyes. The collagen production can help with discoloration and thicken the skin. This procedure should be repeated a few times to get the maximum benefits. Good luck on your journey!

You have a condition directly inherited from your father. This condition presents as Hollowness in the lower eyelid and cheek area.
