Will my insurance cover my gastric sleeve?

I have medicaid/ fidelis care and would like to know if I can get coverage for a sleeve gastrectomy. My BMI is 46% ( 5'6 and 286 pounds) I have no comorbidites, however I have been overwieght since birth and was diagnosed with hypothyroidism from from a young age.

Hello Thanks for the question. You BMI is 25.4 , you have a few extra pounds. Doing some exercises and healthy food you can lose them. So you do not need a gastric sleeve.Blessings Dr. Pablo
