Looking for Breast Implant Surgeon with Affordable Prices in NYC?

I'm in the process of looking for a board certified surgeon who can offer silicone Breast implants at an affordable price. I have a budget of about $6K but I think I can make it more flexible. The problem is that it's hard to find that kind of pricing in NYC?

You are a breast augmentation candidate in one of the most expensive communities in the world- it should not surprise you that cost for breast augmentation in NYC is substantially more expensive than in other communities.
If your budget is $6k and you've got a little wiggle room, consider approaching the plastic surgery training programs in your area (NYU, for example) and inquiring about the 'resident's clinic'- you may find that a surgeon-in-training could do your breast augmentation under the supervision of a experienced, board-certified attending surgeon. You would save substantially on the surgeon's fee, but likely pay full-price for facility, implant and anesthesia fees.
Another suggestion is to seek out a surgeon in another community, but be advised that you may have to travel once again to manage any complications.

Thank you for your question.  I would recommend making a few appointments with Board Certified Plastic Surgeons and having an in office consultation.  Most offices will offer some financing options to help make it more affordable.  Pricing varies provider to provider.

Hi and thanks for your question.  Like many things in NYC, breast augmentation is also expensive.  It’s important to consider that the total cost can be divided into four categories:  1) the surgeon’s fee, 2) the anesthesiologist’s fee, 3) the facility’s fee (for the sutures, instruments, nurses, etc), and 4) the implants.  Cutting cost in any of these categories could mean a compromise in quality, experience, and/or certification — none of which you want to skimp on.  A budget of $6,000 for surgery in NYC probably won’t cover all these costs adequately (somewhere corners will need to be cut), however the good news is that many doctor’s offices offer financing plans that can make the surgery much more affordable!  A visit to a plastic surgeon's office will help you to understand if you're a candidate for the procedure, and what aesthetic outcomes are realistic in your particular case.  In order to get a qualified, ethical, and expert opinion on your surgical options and expectations, always schedule an in-person office consultation with a plastic surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

Thanks so much for reaching out. There are many wonderful board-certified plastic surgeon's in New York City and surrounding areas. The hard thing maybe finding one with a reasonable price. You can search on real self for doctors who are having a special. Currently I am offering a special for silicone implants for $6000 everything included.  I hope this helps :-)

Couple of options - one being: financing, I recommenced contacting Care Credit or a similar well establish lending institution for cosmetic surgery. In the long run of course it will cost you more because of interest charges.Choosing a plastic surgeon because of his/her cheap price is fraught with danger and selects in particular for non board certified surgeons often not even plastic surgeons who are advertising. One thing you might look for is an academic training center where plastic surgery residents supervised by their professors may have a "residents clinic" with steeply discounted rates. Be careful.

Discounted plastic surgery may be available when landlords, cleaning crews, biomedical engineers, malpractice insurance, implant manufacturers, etc offer reduced fees. Unfortunately this is not so, prices continue to rise, especially in NYC.

It is important to consider cost with any surgery - but make sure that cost is not the only factor in your decision to choose a doctor. Remember the common expression "The cheap comes out expensive." 
The way to avoid costs associated with correcting complications of having revisional surgery is to have the surgery done the right way the first time. 
So, while prices have dropped slightly, most board certified plastic surgeons in NYC will charge at least $7500 for Breast augmentation. As the other doctors have explained, the cost to the surgeon for breast augmentation is quite high, when you add the cost of the implants and the facility and anesthesia fee.

Anyway, you want to choose a board certified plastic surgeon with experience and that will cost 7-10k and vary based on the type of implant and how long the surgeon feels the case will take them. Best to save money on other things as getting discount surgery can be an unrewarding experience.
