Would new laser technology be able to correct my glare, starbursts, and ghosting?

I had Lasik in 2001. And came out with better than 20/20. But shortly after I started getting starbursts, glare, and ghosting. I was told it would get better but never really did. I have since been back to have vision checked and right eye is a little worse than 20/30. Would new laser technology be able to correct my glare, starbursts, and ghosting? Or is it to risky to lift a flap this old? If it is would glasses help with at least the ghosting if by chance it’s my astigmatism coming back?

This is a very rare side effect from Lasik. It will typically go away after a few months. If not, a rather simple adjustment will fix the problem.

It probably depends on your age. To see if an enhancement would help you could try wearing .5 contacts and see what happens with your symptoms. If they all go away you have an easier answer. If you still have some symptoms it may not be the left over  or remaining prescription that is the ca...

Patients with well-controlled UC such as yourself can safely undergo LASIK or PRK and expect to heal normally.  Just be sure to mention the condition to your surgeon so they can look carefully for signs of current or past eye inflammation during the evaluation process.
