New bump on the nasal bridge 2 months after rhinoplasty, what is it?

In the first couple of weeks after the rhinoplasty my nose pretty much looked perfect. After 2 months, however, a small bump became visible in the middle of the nasal bridge. This bump seems to be getting more prominent. It feels quite hard, but when I push it, it flattens for about a minute or so. It does not move. Is this bone, cartilage, scar tissue or ... ? Why did it only appear after 2 months? What can be done about it? I'm seeing my surgeon in a couple of days, but could use some advice.

After 2 months, you will still be experiencing swelling that can affect the appearance of your result. In general, 70% of the swelling is resolved after the first 3 months and the remainder goes down over time. It can take up to 18-24 months for the final result of surgery to be evident. Swelling can give the appearance of asymmetry and irregularities. I would recommend giving it some more time to heal, and following up with your surgeon regarding any concerns. He/she knows the extent of your procedure and will be able to provide you with advice. I hope this helps, and I wish you the best of luck.

The nose 
can be swollen for up to a year or more.  Swelling will depend upon the 
nature of maneuvers employed, presence of grafts or implants, thickness

Give yourself a full 6 months to heal from the rhinoplasty and see if this area goes down as all the swelling subsides. While I suspect that it may not go completely flat as you heal further, it is just too early to make that judgment. A touch up rasping through a closed reduction can be done after six months if it is still a persistant area of concern.

Appears as residual tissue. It appears after the swelling has subsided. Thus see your surgeon to discuss a minor revision at 4 to 6 months post op.//

The bump could be unresected  nasal bump that appeared after the swelling dissipated. It could be scar tissue as well. Give it a year to settle.
