CO2 laser resurfacing is an excellent and effective treatment option for sebaceous hyperplasia, which are common, raised, yellowish-colored lesions on facial skin. This laser can also help clear seborrheic keratoses, as well as actinic keratoses. However, it is not a treatment option for seborrheic dermatitis, or any facial dermatitis.Good luck!
I have never heard the term sebaceous dermatitis, I think you are described seborrheic dermatitis which is a disorder of inflammation in oil glands and is genetic. There are no lasers or peels that I have found help this, typically they worsen it. Salicylic acid peels have helped some of my patients since they are anti-inflammatory and help exfoliation. Great Smile and Picture! The fat is normally placed deep to the skin and muscle and the laser affects only the superficial skin. Both techniques can help with the lids but in different ways. They are not mutually exclusive.
Everyone uses a different combination of pain control in patients undergoing laser resurfacing. We combine pain killers and sedative medications, as well as topical numbing and nerve blocks. Our patients do not like to feel pain at all! Most of all, it is best that you feel...
At 8 months post laser, your skin is fully healed, and you can use artificial tanning agent. I would still suggest remaining out of the harmful UV rays of natural sunlight, and also suggest sunblock when you cannot avoid it. Good Luck
