Answer: My Six Unit Bridge Doesn't Fit It is strange that you would be in a temporary for one year. There are many things that could be causing the bridge not to fit, but it is impossible to tell you what it is without seeing it. At this point, I would give the dentist another chance to have the bridge fitted for perfection. If the bridge does not fit the third time I would seek a second opinion to help see what could be causing the mishap. Good luck.

Answer: Time for a second opinion ... #DrSoftTouch From the sound of things, you paid $9,000 for a 6-unit bridge that doesn't fit, so you've been in a temporary bridge for over a year. Most patients don't spend more than a week or two in a temporary. I can offer no reason as to why you have been in a temporary for a year or more, so my best advice is to just seek a second opinion. I wish I could give you a second opinion, but I don't have access to your photos, x-rays or dental chart. I feel bad for what's happened, but I can't blame your dentist because I don't know the circumstances surrounding your unusual case. Good luck and I hope this helps. Answer: Poor fitting 6 unit anterior bridge It is critical that the teeth are prepared in such a way that they are parallel to each other and that an accurate impression be sent off to the laboratory. The laboratory then is charged with care and accuracy in pouring up the impressions so that there is no distortion in the models from which the bridge will be constructed. An accurate temporary bridge is also an necessity to keep the teeth from shifting while the bridge is being fabricated. If all the above criteria are met there is no reason that the bridge should not fit. It is important that you have good communication with your dentist and that you can express your concerns and receive an acceptable answer. Should this not be the case then I would seek a consultation with another dentist.I wish you good luck in having this treatment completed.

Answer: Bridge Does Not Fit The dentist must use precise preparation and impression procedures. The dental lab must use precise practices and respect the models as well. The dentist must choose a lab that can perform the case predictably. The Temporary must fit the teeth, the bite must be correct, and the temporary must not be loose. If these criteria are met, there is no reason the bridge would not fit the first time. If you TRUST the skill and integrity of your dentist, give him/her another chance. If not, find a dentist you do trust. Best of luck to you.
