I have a long face. Is my nose too big for my face? (photo)

In looking at your pictures, you are a beautiful young women.  When evaluating your nose, there are areas that could be modified to create a nose that better "fits" your face.  Young women typically desire a nose that is straight from the front, smooth profile from the side, and a defined tip.  I believe you nose could be refined in these areas.  The most important aspect is for the surgeon to listen to your concerns and needs to create a plan that would create a nose that would be harmonious with your face.  You should also consider a chin implant to help make you nose appear smaller on your face.  

I think that most of those things you have mentioned can be improved through a closed rhinoplasty approach. However, I do think the length of your nose is in balance with the rest of the dimensions of your face. Find a plastic surgeon with ELITE credentials who performs hundreds

The rhinoplasty procedure would involve shaving down the dorsal hump which is composed of both bone and cartilage. Your nose can be reduced,refined, and straightened. Augmenting your cheeks will improve the contour of your mid-face and decrease the appearance of a long face.

Your question can only be answered by you! If there are distracting elements of your nose your surgeon should be able to tell you, after a complete exam, what is safe and effective.Based on your pictures I would agree that you could benefit from dorsal hump reduction and straightening. Depending on how you feel about facial proportions you might be a candidate for a modest chin enhancement at the same time (forehead-nose-chin proportions are all linked in any discussion of facial aesthetics).Be sure to choose an experienced surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Ask to see the surgeon's entire portfolio of pre- and post-op rhinoplasty pictures so you can gauge expertise, experience level, and the types of results that are reasonable to expect.
