It is common to see flashes during laser treatments. Although you are wearing goggles, we always advise to also keep your eyes shut tight under the goggles...regardless, many people do "see" or experience flashes of light (of no risk to you). Dr. Benjamin Barankin, Toronto Dermatology Centre.

You should let your physician or laser technician know about the red flashes.  Your eye protection can then be adjusted or changed to another type that can optimally protect your eyes.
