Insurance varies from carrier to carrier but for patients with symptomatic perforation (i.e. nasal obstruction, whistling, bleeding, etc) coverage is much more likely.

Often for an insurance to consider repairing a septal perforation, the patient must be symptomatic that is nose bleeds, crusting, whistling noises, etc. Then there may be a preexisting condition clause depending upon your particular contract which would determine length of time.
