My Implants Hurt Sometimes With Sharp Pinching?

Question

I got my Brest augmentation 6 months ago and I love them and everything but sometimes maybe 3 times a week I will get a sharp small pinch in either my right or left breast. Is this normal? The pain is just for a couple of seconds and goes away.. I'm worried but I hope it's just because it's too new or something Please help thanks

While you are still in the healing phases, it is normal to occasionally have some sensations such as itching, tingling or sometimes rarely some pinching feeling.  This is all normal and will go away as the tissues settle and the internal tissues and nerves heal.

Some patients feel unusual sensations in and around their breasts months after surgery as the sensory nerves heal. This may be the case for you, but it may not. It is always best to be examined to make sure there are no other issues.

What you are describing is a common aftereffect of surgery.  This should decrease as the nerves recover during the healing process.

Having an occasional shooting or stabbing pain in the breast after an augmentation is normal.  These little twinges should slowing disappear and/or get less noticeable over time.  They should not get worse.  The healing process for  breast surgery does take time.

	Most patients have their own unique odd sensations which may be pain, tingling, etc. Usually there occur with decreasing frequency with passing time, and most are gone by a year's time. I am not sure "normal" is the right word, but "common" is a good qualitative description.

What you are experiencing is just normal nerve recovery from your surgery.  Over the next several months this should go away.
