I have had 2 crown break in the last 3in a half months. the first one happened 3 in a half months ago and wasn't even 2 years old and the other broke tonight and was 3 years old.

This was mentioned in the consent form, as it can happen. As mentioned, the bonding to metal won't last. So what if you don't have any insurance for the doctor to get payment?In this scenario, I would replace the crown for approximately the lab fee.
I can't tell from the pictures, but a grey shade is most likely from metal inside the crown that the porcelain is fused to. It is very difficult to block out this grey hue, because porcelain used in dentistry is somewhat translucent, as are teeth. This is one of the main reasons I use a Cerec AC...
