Could my Cats Claws Rupture my Silicone Breast Imlant?

Question

My cat placed her claw on my breast and there is some slight scratch marks, my implants are over the muscle and i'm concerned this may cause the implant to leak. is this possible?

You have nothing to fear from your housecat relative to breast implants.  A Bengal tiger might be able to get to the implants, however.

Slight scratch marks on skin do not indicate that the claws entered the breast tissue.  I would consider this possibility unlikely.

Unless your kitty has nail extensions, the chance of a cat scratch causing a rupture of the implant is very unlikely indeed. If you are worried, see your surgeon, and perhaps consider having a breast ultrasound.

Thank you for your question.  Fortunately rupture of an implant from a cat claw scratch is very unlikely. Anything is possible, but the trauma from the cat would have to be very severe.  If you did not have a puncture wound, you are unlikely to have injured the implant. Best wishes!

I doubt very much that a cat's claw could penetrate the implant unless it impaled deeply into the soft tissue. If concerned, see your surgeon.
