I’m a 25 year old female, I’ve been wearing lingual braces for 9 months and I have an overbite of around 10mm. My orthodontist explained that I have underdeveloped jaw which can only be fixed by having surgery. He suggested that he could use interproximal reduction to improve the appearance of the overbite. I would like to know if inerproximal reduction will be able to achieve the results that I want or would surgery be a better option in my case?
