Been having hair fall since I was 22 which stopped when I was pregnant For the last 3 years I was on minoxidil 2% and it worked very well but now the hair fall has resumed with clumps of hair coming out. I have now been prescribed minoxidil5% and follihaur tablets. The hair loss stopped in 12 days since I started the therapy. But is it safe for me to be on minoxidil 5% and will it continue to work for me in the long run?

Answer: Your doctor probably will not try to harm you.

You have classic traction alopecia which resulted from the braids you had when you were a child. These pulled out your hair and only a hair transplant can fix this problem
Minoxidil only work as long as you keep using it. If you use it for awhile and notice a gain in hair and you stop using it, then the gain (you got from the medication) will be lost.
