I have been doing liposuction, liposculpting, and correction of bad liposuction for at least 15 years and have treated 1000's of patients. I have used many of the different techniques available such as ultrasound assisted, laser assisted, jet liposuction, power assisted, etc. What is described with this technique is not much different than other techniques used. The name is used as a marketing tool. Access to removal of fat is by a hole punch, which will remove a small portion of skin and leave a hole. This will not heal as well as a small 2-3mm incision. Wetting solution is infused, which is the same as any other technique. A laser fiber is introduced and used to "heat and melt" the fat and "tighten tissues". This is similar to other devices like SMART liposuction and Slim liposuction. Lasers are hot and can burn and if not used correctly can lead to significant contour irregularities, scarring, and even surface burns. The tightening effect is at best minimal. Finally the fat is removed and sculpted by suctioning using a small diameter cannula. Which is how most experienced surgeons remove and sculpt the fat. I will also reiterate some of what was mentioned in other posts. The most important aspect with all the various liposculpting and liposuction techniques is not the technology or the gimmicky name, but the EXPERIENCE of the surgeon performing the procedure. I would advise anyone considering any plastic surgery to please do your homework and seek a well experienced, honest, board certified plastic surgeon who will review all your concerns and questions. Do not make your decision solely based on an advertisement, a gimmicky name, or because you saw it on a TV show.
