I have AA and yes it is genetic. My mom also has it. I decided to do cortisone injections. I've been doing them since October of 2015. I have seen very little results for a person who has been doing them for almost half a year. Do cortisone injections help if the alopecia is genetic? Is it detrimental that I am getting the shots? I've heard if I discontinue the shots that my hair will fall out! What should I do now? Any help ?
