Sudden droopy eyelid in my 20s - what are my options? (photos)

Question

My right eye (left on picture) dropped suddently. I hate the feeling and look of it. I am in my 20s, would I have any option other than surgery? What about the costs? Thank you!

Thank you for your question. For women, a good time to seek out eyelid cosmetic procedures is when it becomes difficult to apply eye shadow on the upper eyelid. Blepharoplasty can correct a drooping eyelid and remove excess skin. I suggest that you move forward and consult with a board certified facial plastic surgeon.

It is hard to definitively diagnose a problem without a consult. I would recommend seeing an oculo-plastic surgeon which is an ophthalmologist with a concentration in plastic surgery specifically around the eyelids
That being said, your eyelids do not seem droopy from the pictures. If the aesthetics of your eyes bother you, I suggest seeing an oculoplastic surgeon to discuss your options.

I don't see a drooping of the eyelids in your photos.  Eyelid drooping is defined by the eyelashes covering your pupil in the frontal view.  If you simply don't like the appearance, that's another story, and certainly you could have a consultation with a nearby plastic surgeon.  Be sure to discuss with your board certified plastic surgeon exactly what your goals are, and how reliably they can be expected to be achieved.
