Hi and thank you for your question! PDO threads can be place at many places, including the neck area to generate a lift. Given the nature of the procedure, the skill and experience of your physician is the key and you should ideally be doing this only with a doctor who has great experience in doing PDO thread lift procedures. Asking to see several before an after pictures of other patients treated by the doctor you are considering could help relieve your concerns. Complications might happen even at skilled hands, but the likelihood is much less. Common issues include bruising and swelling. The threads might be placed too deep or too low. There is also always the risk of infection or tissue injury but these risks are generally rare. I hope it helps and good luck!
Thank you for your photo. Silhouette InstaLift is a minimally invasive procedure that is able to target the deeper layers of skin on a patient’s face and neck. This new target area makes the procedure stand out from existing procedures that only treat the surface or outer layers of the skin. InstaLift has absorbable lift sutures that tighten the skin and stimulate collagen as they dissolve over time. Results will continue to improve for up to several months after surgery. I recommend getting a in person consultation with a board-certified dermatologist.
Dear taratia,Thank you for your question and pictures. You have loose skin folds over the neck that can be tightened with PDO threadlift. What is a ThreadLift?A ThreadLift is a minimally invasive, non-surgical procedureProviding a firmer, fresher, rejuvenated, natural look similar to a faceliftWhat exactly are Threads?Threads are absorbable barbed sutures comprised of a SUTURE material (PDO, PLLA).These barbs grab onto the sagging tissues beneath the skin, lifting and supporting them. What can be treated with a ThreadLift?Threadlifts can be used to lift or balance out sagging or asymmetric eyebrows,Lift sagging cheeks and laugh linesLift mid and lower face, jawline and neck soft tissue, and to smooth aging skin.Who is a good candidate for the procedure?Good candidates are men and women ranging in age from the thirties to the sixties who have mild to moderate drooping in the brow, face and neck.Patients should be physically healthy and realistic in their expectations. This procedure is ideal for those looking to enhance their appearance without having to undergo a full face or brow lift. How is the actual ThreadLift performed? For a ThreadLift, small surgical sutures are used to lift and support drooping areas of the face, brow, cheeks and neck. They are a barbed suture product with tiny, teeth-like cogs. They are inserted beneath the skin using a long cannula.Once inserted, the threads grab onto the soft tissues, providing a support structure that lifts and repositions the tissues. The cannula is then removed and the end of the thread is pulled. What to expect after threadlift?Feeling of the thread tips poking at your skin. REMEDY is to just massage it so as to help the thread sink in.Skin dents may occur temporarily. Because whereas before you had a (sagging) but smooth flat skin, you now have lifted, but potentially with some depressions on it.Feel soft tissue slightly bunched up under your skin. Not visually but palpable area of firmness.Threads can snap, especially on extreme muscle movement, but this would not create unevenness. The first time you do the procedure, swelling and skin changes may some time to settle. With subsequent treatments, the healing process/time gets much shorter.Post care, try to be gentle when cleansing your face. No forceful scrubbing motions downwards.I hope this helps.
Thread lifts can lead to incredible results if you are the right patient for the procedure. It is important to have a skilled surgeon performing the procedure, and certain threads are more efficacious than others. It is very low risk with real results. I prefer Rejuvn8 threads...
