I am unsure why you have pressure in your ears due to the limited history you presented. Are you wearing a night guard because of a TMJ (jaw joint issue) or because you grind your teeth at night? Based on your photos, you don't need to have teeth removed...I would get a second opinion

Good question, but the answer is more about who the orthodontist is than what system is better.  I think the public is under a misconception that Invisalign is Invisalign, and SureSmile is SureSmile.  It's not about that, it's about the Dentist!  How good is HE? Many orthodontists...
