I'm a 40 year old female with a bmi of 40, considering gastric sleeve surgery. I have read that the weight loss will likely resolve my sleep apnea, but I'm wondering if it would help any of my other issues: ibs, diverticulosis/diverticulitis, pcos (acne, facial hair), plantar fasciitis, joint pain and inflammation. Any assistance or experiences would be greatly appreciated.

It is possible to perform both surgeries at the same time. The only difference would be that preoperative endoscopic studies are necessary to see the state of the stomach and if there are changes due to the band.
