I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a hair loss expert. Prp and progesterone can be used to regrow eyebrows. Best, Dr. Emer
The prescription bimatoprost , marketed as Latisse, is FDA approved for lengthening eyelashes. There are other non-prescription peptide containing products which have been shown to enhance eyelash & brow growth. RevitaLash is one such product. Remember it will take 6-8 weeks to notice a difference in hair growth.
The answer to your question really depends on the cause of the eyebrow loss in the first place. Remember that Latisse does NOT help 60 % of women with age related eyebrow thinning. Studies have shown that 20 % of women are very pleased (and another similar proportion are somewhat pleased) - so it is far from all. But there are options such as minoxidil. PrP does not appear that effective and there are no studies. If the brow loss is due to alopecia areata, scarring alopecia or endocrine dysfunction then completely different treatments are needed.
Thank you for your question. Stopping Latisse for two days should not affect your results. Many of our patients maintain by using the product bi-weekly. I would check with your provider and discuss your needs with him/her. Best of luck, Dr. Heffernan
Latisse does not have FDA approval for topical fat loss; any such use will be "off label". There are safer options to treat the area.
Thank you for your question. I would recommend receiving clearance from your oncologist before using Latisse. However, we have had several cancer survivors use Latisse with outstanding results. Best of luck!
