My dental crown is too long. What can be done about this?

I got a dental crown about ten years ago and since then I’ve noticed that it’s a little bit longer than the rest of my teeth. It’s definitely noticeable, especially since when I smile my gums show. I did, however, get braces about five years ago and since I’ve had them off my teeth have shifted back, so I don’t know if that has anything to do with it. What can be done about this?
