I’ve heard that combining a vitamin c serum with sunscreen holds many benefits and is even better than applying sunscreen alone. However, I’m currently on my second round of accutane and I cut out any drying or irritating active ingredients in my skincare to avoid any more irritation. I’ve never used vitamin c routinely, only a few times here and there. Will daily use of vitamin c be too irritating while on accutane? Would now be a bad time to experiment with new ingredients?

Accutane may interfere with healing, but this does not apply to minor procedures. I suggest waiting 2 weeks after subcision before starting accutane so that some tissue healing has taken place prior to accutane.
