Is X ray neccessary for Invisalign consultation？

I visited a top 1% provider in my area for invisalign consultation. He just did some manual checks of my mouth,teeth,bones and jaw and an ITero scan. I asked him about x ray but he said it is unnecessary for my case. I just wonder about whether the exams he did are enough or not. Should I insist on having an x ray before my trearment starts?

X rays are not required by Invisalign.  I like to see the roots of the teeth and bone support before proceeding with any orthodontic treatment.  I also use it to ensure that no decay is present in any of the teeth before beginning ortho treatment.  Best wishes!

Most orthodontists will require an xray.  This allows them to assess not only the position of the teeth, but whether they are healthy enough to move as well.
