I think this is a really nice result. B1 is the brightest natural color there is. Lots of people now have even whiter teeth with veneers and whitening being prevalent, but this is a color that only 16 year olds had 50 years ago. But people are quite acclimated to that now and I believe these will be perceived by others as very nice, bright whitened natural teeth. Congratulations and enjoy your smile with pride!

Just from a quick study of your photos, I will tell you that the most important thing I see is that some sort of acid has been the major cause of your troubles.  This is typically in the form of sodas, sports drinks, fruit juice or energy drinks.  Can be stomach acid from throwing up, but that doesn't look like the pattern I'm seeing in the photos.  This will require restorations on teeth.  Orthodontics, such as Invisalign, might help improve the result of the restoration, but you'll have to get the teeth restored if you want to keep them long term and if you want them to look nice.  You may be able to accomplish what you want without orthodontics and skip straight to the restorative part.  This would mean veneers and/or crowns on many teeth, but if done well, can look fantastic and feel great!  In the meantime, stay away from those acidic beverages!  Good luck and don't let just any old dentist handle this for you!  This takes some serious expertise,

This case is right up my alley!  I love these situations because we can help so much!  I would recommend Invisalign or braces to re-align followed by restoring the incisal edges of the front teeth with composite as a conservative and beautiful option.  We do this all the time.  Of course, you need the maintenance or to work done first.  Regarding the decay issues - I don't want to sound like a jerk, but I also want to help you get to the bottom of why this has happened to you so you can prevent it going forward.  In my mind there are two problems with the idea that this is about your genes.  One is that genetic problems are rare and 99% of the time when people say that in my office, it's just something a dentist told them either trying to make them not feel bad or to make them feel like treatment is inevitable.  The other is that taking that to heart is self defeating.  If you start to believe "that's just how my teeth are, I'll always have problems" it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy and you WILL always have problems because it stops you from thinking about what is actually going on and solving it.  The truth is, in all but a few rare cases, it is simply something you are eating or drinking too much of (sodas, candy, sports drinks, fruit juice, energy drinks are the classic examples) or your hygiene techniques need a little coaching.  Again, maybe you are that rare exception, but even then, in my mind, the best thing you can do is figure out what you can do to minimize trouble going forward.  Minimize sugar and acid. Maximize oral hygiene (Sonicare and flossing with good technique).  If your dentist or hygienist isn't coaching you about HOW to floss and brush most effectively, find another dentist!  I sure hope I don't sound like I'm preaching, because that's not how I mean it.  Dentistry is expensive and not all that fun, so I hope you are able to minimize it going forward!  Best wishes!!!

X rays are not required by Invisalign.  I like to see the roots of the teeth and bone support before proceeding with any orthodontic treatment.  I also use it to ensure that no decay is present in any of the teeth before beginning ortho treatment.  Best wishes!

I have had one patient react to Invisalign aligners.  I believe the company offers an alternative material upon request so you should be able to complete treatment.  I believe my patient was too freaked out and chose to ask Invislign for a refund.  I think they gave it to us.  Not sure - it's been quite a few years.  It is extremely rare.  For now, salt water rinse several times a day may sooth your mouth.  Many dentists will prescribed a home-brew kind of mouth rinse from a compounding pharmacy often referred to as "Magic Swizzle" or "Ulcer Juice".  It has equal parts Nystatin, Benadryl, Viscous Lidocaine and Dexamethasone.  Kind of a kitchen sink recipe that may help.  Best of luck!!!!
