*** Please note I wrote this before reading other physician answers. I do not intend to offend or directly contradict another opinion. Hello from the USA, I was in Milan last august and it was stunning. There are a lot of good things for you. The tattoo is black , thin and small. Looks to be on your forearm also good, better than on a foot which takes longer. So much misinformation out there so I will speak from 15 years to laser tattoo experience and not paraphrase laser sales tactics. First off, it was meant to last a lifetime so don't rush to get it off in the quickest manner, haste leads to heartache. I would expect 6-10 sessions no sooner than 6 weeks apart and in tattoo removal the length of time between sessions allows for better clearance and less complications. The laser of choice in my opinion is the gold standard Q switch YAG its great on black ink and gentler on your skin type which is likely IV. It is NOT more likely to scar, it is NOT more likely to burn as it is a photo acoustic system that bases the ink breakdown on acoustic trauma as opposed to laser heat or photo thermal as used in laser hair. Picosecond lasers have been a let down, the first one the picosure has been in litigation for results that are not nearly what was promised. In fact most evidence leads to using the Q switch for all tattoos during the first 4 sessions which in my opinion is not worth the extra costs. Best of luck , I think if you start you will have a happy outcome.
