I’m a 19 years girl who got laser hair removal, more precisely SWT technology, on my legs. I used to have a lot of thick black hair, and after this really painful treatment I started seeing some results. The point is that after my 3rd treatment I noticed that some of the hairs were “trapped” under the skin; obviously they aren’t ingrown hair, but more like BLACKHEADS that come out only if I press them. It’s really painful and frustrating... I’m attaching a photo of my leg below.

Thank you for your question. Yes, lasers used for laser hair removal differ fromthose used for tattoo removal. There would be risks of blistering and damaging thetattoo. Please ask your treating technician to avoid the tattoo, which anexperienced technician would be sure to do. Regards, Dr Campey
