Am I losing my nipple or poor blood circulation? (photos)

It is hard to tell from the photograph but it appears that the darker parts of the nipple are the congested areas. I would call the plastic surgeon.

The photos indicates compromised circulation to the nipple/areola. The lighter colour in the areola is due to peeling of the outer skin.  I suspect that this area will recover but there could be altered pigmentation.  From the photo it is difficult to be certain the involvement of the nipple.  I would recommend that you see your surgeon and not wait.   I would recommend applying polysporin ointment to keep the wound greasy until you are seen.
