Should I get my second IPL ahead of Accutane? (Photo)

I received an IPL for cystic acne 3 weeks ago. Initially, I really improved but suspect I started purging (breaking out in same area) and am now scheduled for accutane on august 16th. I’m breaking out pretty bad. Should I do my second treatment ahead of starting accutane? Will this help with purging from the accutane? Does it dissipate after second treatment? My derm said ‘don’t bother’ but my skin is worse than ever right now.
