Thanks for your question. Healing after Brazilian butt lift is usually pretty straight forward. There is a process of swelling and bruising that peaks at 3 days after surgery and then undergoes the first stage of major resolution in the first 2 weeks after surgery. The lateer phase of healing takes place over the 2-3 months after surgery where everything really settles and softens. It is after this time that we are getting close to the final result, though this varies patient to patient.
I find that it takes about three months for everything to soften and stabilize completely. There can be some occasional soreness of the buttocks that comes and goes over the first year.
Brazilian Butt Lift recovery time is dependent on how the patient’s body reacts to the procedure. Patients usually return to work after a week but you should not sit without the use of cushions for at least two weeks and you must wear a compression garment for several weeks after the procedure. You should wait until at least 2 weeks after the procedure to engage in sexual activity. Swelling and discomfort normally fades at six weeks. After about a month you will be mostly healed and you can get a nice idea of the permanent results after around six months.
In general the recovery from a BBL is pretty fast in terms f getting back to normal and doing all of your activities including exercise with the exception of sitting. It takes about 12 months really for all of the swelling to completely resolve which always is a surprise and quite honestly was a surprise to me as well as I began my training years ago. As for the softness it is quite variable and your butt can be soft in a month in some patients while others make take a little longer but not nearly as long as it takes for the lipo swelling to go down.Certified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, Florida Medical Association
It usually takes between 3 and 6 months for your buttocks to soften, have normal sensation and feel normal again. Every patient is different as is every surgeon. The more fat is placed into your buttocks, typically the more swelling and firmness you get.
As with any operation it takes time for the buttocks to feel "normal". In my experience with hundreds of BBLs most patients feel their buttocks soft and have good sensation between 6-12 weeks after the surgery. There are obviously individual differences but this period seems to fit the pattern of most patients.

Thanks for the question. You should be able to go on vacation by 3-4 weeks after your surgery. But this is valid only with assuming postoperative recovery is uneventful. If any unexpected incident happens in your treatment process, this time can be extended or shortened. I wish you all the best.
