BBL abscess scar. Can this be removed by excision?

"I had a bbl done 2 years ago. I fell while healing and caused an abscess. After several antibiotics, steroid shots, and the abscess breaking my skin to self drain. I have a soft and dark dark scar on my cheek. Can this type of scar be removed by excision. If so what type of surgeon should I inquire with? Or what are my other options?
